We are deeply committed to sustainability. Our project is designed to work with nature – not against it. We use stored rainwater and solar energy for hot water, and we’re currently working towards producing 100% of our own energy. Sustainability is not just a theme; it’s part of our everyday choices and long-term vision.
We’re also dog lovers! Just a short walk away, you’ll find our private dog training facility, run by a certified professional. During your stay, you’re welcome to book a session and enjoy time outdoors with your dog in a safe and enriching space.

Hi, I’m Michel – entrepreneur, visionary, and since 2023, proudly based in São Bartolomeu de Messines, in the heart of the Algarve, Portugal.
After more than 12 years of entrepreneurial experience in the Netherlands and Germany, I felt it was time to reconnect with the essence of entrepreneurship: creating something from the ground up, with real impact. That’s when I decided to start a new chapter – one that combines purpose, innovation, and collaboration.
With over 25 years of practical, hands-on experience, I founded Quinta TerVida, a non-profit organization with sustainability at its core. But TerVida is more than just a project – it’s a platform for next-generation entrepreneurs who are driven by purpose and want to grow in both business and mindset.
At TerVida, we provide the space, guidance, and support for young entrepreneurs to develop their ideas, test their potential, and turn vision into action. I mentor and coach with a strong focus on authenticity, strategic thinking, and long-term value creation.
In addition to my work with TerVida, I’m passionate about guiding startups in building successful, future-proof businesses. I believe in empowering founders to create solid foundations, make smart decisions, and scale with intention.
Looking ahead, I aim to offer even more support to entrepreneurs – through coaching, strategic sparring, and by sharing the lessons I’ve learned on my own journey.

Dorine
Hi there! I’m Dorine – proud co-founder of the DogXperience concept within TerVida.
Dogs have always been my passion, and that passion turned into a lifelong journey. I started studying dog behavior years ago and graduated as a Dog Behaviorist in 2005 in the Netherlands, through the University of Llharensteijn in Leeuwarden in cooperation with DogVision. But my learning didn’t stop there.
Over the years, I’ve had the chance to train with some amazing professionals – like Peter Beekman (Black Box method), Marcel Nijland (physiotherapy and movement), and the Martin Gaus Academy (clicker training). Each step deepened my understanding and love for the work.
After graduating, I ran my own dog school near Rotterdam for almost 12 years – a place filled with wagging tails, shared progress, and beautiful connections between people and their dogs.
When I moved to Portugal, it didn’t take long before my passion found me again. People started reaching out with questions about their dogs’ behavior, and soon I was back in action: volunteering in shelters, doing home assessments, and giving group lessons.
But one dream kept tugging at me – creating something truly special for dogs and their humans.
In early 2024, I met Michel. After sharing our ideas and passions, something clicked – and the concept of DogXperience came to life.
Now, DogXperience is a place where every dog – no matter the age, breed, or background – can learn, play, relax, socialize, or recover. It’s a forest full of possibilities, where physical and mental stimulation go hand-in-paw. Whether you’re training, bonding, or just enjoying nature together, the options are endless.
And the best part? It’s all built with love, experience, and a deep respect for every dog’s unique nature.
